about
This track was recorded and mixed during the production of our debut album but was not included for different reasons.
“The stars incline us, they do not bind us.”
An old Latin phrase, it means the "The Stars incline us, they do not bind us". It means that fate and destiny made nudge us into a path, but there is always free will and the path to make our own destiny.

LYRICS
“The stars incline us, they do not bind us.”
I'm haunted by their death
The cross around my neck
Defamation of their lives
No names upon their graves
Fear, a cry out to the world
The powers that be would rather tip the board
When all is lost
Than lose the game, they'd rather take
Us to war, than take the blame
I don't fight for you anymore
I'll proceed with or without you
You will never make me fall
“(Because) the stars incline us, they do not bind us.”
Rage and sorrow in my life
Forgiveness I can't see
Now I know the path I walk
Redemption to be unbound
Fear, a cry out to the world
The powers that be would rather tip the board
When all is lost
Than lose the game, they'd rather take
Us to war, than take the blame
I don't fight for you anymore
I'll proceed with or without you
You will never make me fall
“(Because) the stars incline us, they do not bind us.”
I don't fight for you anymore
I'll proceed with or without you
You will never make me fall
“(Because) the stars incline us, they do not bind us.”
I don't fight for you anymore
I'll proceed with or without you
You will never make me fall
“(Because) the stars incline us, they do not bind us.”

This album really roots itself in modern prog metal, especially in the way the guitar work is treated. It's not fully a djent album but has some very djenty songs throughout, mixed with post-rock elements. It also happens to have some of the most gorgeous ambient moments I've ever heard in my life, evidenced by beautiful tracks like "Solstice". Another stellar knockout by Widek! Challenging Apathy
